Who are we?
Steve McGill
Steve McGill, founder and CEO of Blue Arena, has worked as a Web Developer for a number of years, both as a freelancer and as part of a busy and successful web design company. An Ozzy by birth, he has lived and worked in Holland and England, and nowadays freelances from London, developing bespoke projects for a number of clients. As well as building Ostendo, a powerful PHP-based Content Management System, Steve has worked with some really big clients in Asp.Net and PHP.
Steve, like all Ozzies, carries at least two barbeques on his person at all times, in case he is attacked by a passing beefburger. He takes great pleasure in consuming large quantities of alcohol before stumbling home, though in his more sober moments he is also a doting father and awe-inspiring pianist.
If he wasn’t such a responsible human being, Steve’s facial hair might destroy us all, but he shaves regularly for the good of mankind.
Jamie Morris
Jamie Morris stumbled into web development by accident after graduating from the University of Sunderland with a 2:1 in Interactive Entertainment Systems. Having designed and developed websites for a number of years as a hobby, he worked for a small but successful online learning company before moving to Bournemouth to work in a web design agency where he met Steve.
Aside from web development, Jamie also likes to regularly escape from the real world by immersing himself in World of Warcraft, Dungeons and Dragons and other nerdy activities. He also plays guitar, and misses the good old days playing and singing in a band.
Thankfully Jamie’s girlfriend is equally nerdy, if not moreso. She fuels his work by providing home made cookies and cups of tea, whilst nodding and pretending to understand everything he says.
